A Signature Portrait Session is completely guided by Alena in her Platen Photo Studio where you’re invited to just be yourself. Most clients don’t have posing experience before they come to the studio. Alena will completely take care of you to get the most beautiful photos of yourself.
In general Alena will start with a consultation a few days or weeks before your session. She will get to know a little of your story: what brought you to the studio, what you’d like these portraits to feel like. From there, she’ll guide you on wardrobe, using pieces from the studio collection or your own wardrobe, so you arrive feeling prepared.
During the session itself, Alena directs — where to look, how to hold your hands, when to simply breathe and let go. Many women say the nerves they walked in with faded within the first ten to fifteen minutes. That’s the point. The portraits that come out of a relaxed hour look nothing like the tense, camera-ready smile most of us are used to.
Afterward, you’ll receive a private online gallery to choose your favorites, and each image is retouched by hand in Alena’s signature style — to still be who you are.
Women who want portraits of themselves as they are right now, not as they were ten years ago or hope to be someday. Many of our clients come to us at a turning point – after a birthday, a life change, or simply a long stretch of putting everyone else first. Others come for no particular reason at all, just because it’s time to have a wonderful experience and at the same moment receive beautiful pictures. Both are good reasons.

You will talk through this in your consultation with Alena what to bring from home. Furthermore you will have access to our studio wardrobe on the day.
Between 30 minutes and up to 4-5 hours (including hairstyling and makeup if included). This depends on your chosen collection.
Yes it’s absolutely normal. A lot of our clients arrive a little nervous. It’s part of the process, not a problem to solve before you book. Even models with some experience sometimes show up with being a bit nervous.
In general you will get access to your private online gallery within 2-3 weeks of your session, and your chosen photos shortly after you’ve made your selection and all invoices have been entirely paid.
STARTER is a beautiful introduction to the experience. Shorter session, one outfit, three photos included. ESSENTIAL gives you the whole full length photo session experience, more setups, more outfit changes, more photos included, with your own hairstyling and own makeup. PREMIUM adds the professional makeup (additional hairstyling as add-on possible) whereas LEGACY is the All Inclusive and fully tailored option: at least 25 photos, professional makeup (2 looks) and hairstyling, and includes even an album an a wall-art.
