Hello, I'm Alena

I’m a portrait photographer based in Luxembourg.
My work centers on women – their strength, their stories, and the kind of beauty that radiates from within.

As a woman myself, I understand how layered our experiences can be: how much we carry, how often we adapt, and how easily we can lose sight of ourselves along the way.

Before I picked up a camera, I studied philosophy and cultural studies, and trained in social psychology and coaching. To me, photography lives in the space between psychology and art – a space where something genuine can be both seen and felt.

Each session is guided by me with clear direction, but remains open to emotion.

My photography is all about emotion, light, and authenticity. I love capturing the quiet in-between moments — the way a look, a gesture, or a touch tells a story. My style blends natural light with a soft, timeless aesthetic, always guided by intuition. Every image I take is crafted to feel honest and deeply human and full of soul.

five Facts about Me

I have Russian roots, but was born in Germany, lived in Algeria, Ukraine, Moldova, Russia – and now Luxembourg, which is about to become the place where I’ve lived the longest. Every place left its mark, but my heritage still influences how I see the world.

I have an university degree in Philosophy, and furthermore have studied social psychology, life coaching, and photography.

I found my true calling in photography after 35 – so it’s never too late to start something a bit later and still have it become the love of your life. (Same goes for love.)

My husband Patrick always believes in me — especially on the days I forget to. Like many artists, I have my doubts. His support means truly a lot to me.

I’m a mom of two amazing boys who constantly teach me patience, presence, and what really matters.
